For the past two months, at the end of the month I’ve overdrawn my checking account and had money pulled from my savings, which fortunately doesn’t cost me anything. But I couldn’t figure out why that happened when I thought I was doing really well with my budget.
Well, today I was working with my budget spreadsheet where I have a tally of all my expenses. At the bottom of that column, I have a formula to add up all the cells above, then subtract that from my total income. Except, somehow that formula omitted the very first cell in my column, which is my savings, almost 10% of my total budget.
Right now I’m telling myself that at least I found that problem and fixed it, before it creates anymore issues for me, but I’m still kicking myself.
